“In order to play the game of life mindfully,” said Sumi Loundon Kim, a Buddhist chaplain at Duke University who works with youth, “you have to practice mindfulness.”
I am Hema Santosh. I started meditating at five, not by choice, but because my mom and grandfather woke me early for school. It felt like a chore, especially when all I wanted was sleep. As I grew older, I faced significant challenges, meditation became my refuge, transforming frustration into strength and helping me find calm.
Now, I share these techniques with my husband, three sons, and friends. I've taken courses to teach others, especially children and teenagers, and I'm dedicated to spreading this knowledge.
